I am using Redhat Linux 7.2
can someone please tell me how I can check how much free space I have on my hard-drive? I really need to know this. Thank you!

Solution
To check for free disk space you use the df command
Typing df will show you the total space on a device, the space used and the space available. If you want this in a more "human readable" form try typing
df -h
at the command prompt. This will show you the space using mb and gigs. It is easier to read that way.
