Colorado Backup

I have an internal HP Colorado Backup unit for windows 95 installed in my Dell
PII 333 PC, the unit has worked a number of times but I have not backed my disk
up for a number of months now (naughty I know). Anyway with the year end
approaching I thought I would backup the entire system but unfortunately I get
the following error message every time

Colorado backup for Windows 95
Version 3.1.129

I have tried a couple of different tapes, and uninstalling the software and re
installing all to no avail.

I now have no clues, I know the software recognizes the drive since during the
backup process the display tells me how much tape is available (75%).

Any help would be gratefully accepted, particularly before the year end.

many thanks

Re: Colorado Backup

Tim,

I also have a Colorado Tape Backup (5Gig). I cannot speak from experience due
to the fact that it has never given me any problems. However try this:
Prior to performing a complete backup go into your device manager and disable
any and all devices that are not required to keep the system running such as
sound cards, network cards, modems etc. Reboot the system and then after the
system restarts make sure no unnecessary applications are running.
After you have completed your backup reenable the devices in device manager.

Hope this helps

I didn't see an indication of the exact model or capacity, but if you link to
the enclosed site you can pull down your exact model to link to the specific
page for support.
