Please let me know how to configure HP machine to connect
Open Ldap 2.x.

You have to download LDAP-UX from this site.

Openlad is available in binary download for the clients components.
For the server side, I don't know if it exists in binary, but you can compile it with gcc, which is what I did, and it works fine !!!
