Connection refused on share windows 2000 resource from an hp-ux 11.00 server

Hi all,

I have installed the cifs/9000 client on a hp9000 whith hp-ux 11.00 to access a share resource on a microsoft 2000 server.

The cifs is mounted, but when I want to connect a user, I have the message :
Loggin in user: UNIX:Connection refused.

However, this run on a microsoft XP resource.

Thanks to all.

Hi,

How are you authenticating?

If you're using cifslogin to authenticate have you tried with different users? Another option is to use:

mount -F cifs -o username=, password= server:share /mountpoint

Ensure the cifsclient is actually running before entering these commands. If all else fails, try using smbclient - which is a fairly simple way of testing out shares.

regards,

Darren.

So, we're using Active Directory on our windows 2000 server.

Is the problem here ??
