Console emulation on
Hi there,
We have here a HP 9000 A Class (A180).
* I want to know if it's possible to connect a Win98 Pc, via the console port to manage the server. (crossed serial cable ??).
* If yes, what parameters for the serial port?
* If no, how can i connect to the server bypassing the security rules in the inetd.sec ?
PS: The problem is that the IP adress ('n class) of the machine was changed but not the inetd.sec
Thx for your responses

Re: Console emulation on
Yes, you can connect a serial cable. I'm away from the office today so I can't check the cabling but the port settings are 9600 8-1-N or 9600 7-2-E.

If it ain't broke, I can fix that.

Re: Console emulation on
Connect a Win98 Pc via the console port to manage the server with serial cable 9 pin - 9 pin.Emulator for direct connection is CRT or Hyperterminal.
