Can you please compare the kernel parameter list on the different versions?
Can you post your kernel parameters of the HP11.0 server?

You should check the disk firmware on the system, both for version and consistency. According to the HPUX 11 install matls I read, there are some seagate disks that have potential problems. I had numerous problems (corruption, severe contention etc) after moving my database from 10.20 to 11.0, and mixing older disks with newer ones. My problems were nover actually resolved for cause - but with new disks they are gone.
Also, when you look in the oracle alert log - what is happening when the errors occur?
