Defragment the storage disk.
I have production machine HP-UX 11.11.
There is 81 storage disk, priviously all the disk was in used. Now data size has reduced and they want to remove the disk around 45.
I have some query.
-Can you provide the steps.
-are performance implications of moving the data around through the defragmentation process?
- How fragmented are each of the file systems?
- Can we shrink them without defragmentation?
Regards
G.

Re: Defragment the storage disk.
How was the data reduced? Were files removed (rm) or were portions of backups restored?
Do you have the OnlineJFS product?
