Difference in bdf output
Hello,
In my bdf out put it shows
Filesystem kbytes used avail %
/dev/vg00/lvol3 3145728 2100504 1037128 67% /
When I add used and avail space, it is not matching with the kbytes
Can any body say what is this difference?

Re: Difference in bdf output
This is probably caused by some rounding...
2100504 + 1037128 = 3137632, which is close enough to 3145728
Another causes could be fragmentation of the filesystem or space reservation for the root user.

Every problem has at least one solution. Only some solutions are harder to find.

Re: Difference in bdf output
for small volumes this difference is so marginal but for larger volumes there are huge difference (2GB difference for following volume)
/dev/vgps_spare_cpy/oracle
910360576 872804677 35208921
