Doubt abt oracle client version compatibility with oracle server versions

Hi,

Is it possible to access oracle 8,8i,9i and 10g Versions database server using oracle 9.2.0.1 version client.

Kindly help me out.

Shalom Nirmal,

I was incorrect when I answered a simlar question some weeks ago on this topic.

I believe it is possible to access all the listed versions of oracle with the client you specify.

Surely the older versions. Almost 100% certain 10g as well.

Hey

as far as I know you cannot connect a 10g DB with a 9i client.

if you have access to metalink, please check Note:207303.1 with subject "Client/Server/Interoperability Support Between Different Oracle Versions"

"Edited to comply with ITRC Guidelines"
