Duplicate Oracle Application Unix User Account for Developer

Hi All,

In a HP-UX server, I have 2 Oracle Application running. These application account have their own dedicated O/S account namely "appla" and "applb" but both of them belongs to same primary group called "dba".

How can I create a new user account for this new developer that has similar rights to "appla" and "applb" environment ? Should I create 1 or 2 account for this new developer ?

I think probably I should ask "What is the best practice for creating new HP-UX account for Oracle Developer ?" Security factors have to be included.

Hi Saw,

You must only need to create 1 account: applabd, for example, with permissions to xrw only in some subdirectories of appla and applb.
