Dv7t Volume Slider Button Problem.......

Hey guy, i have had this problem for a few days, my computersvolume slider button, has malfunctioned, before the problem the button when pressed and when you would move your finger would make a clicking sound and the volume picture thing would apear, but now for some reason the button doesnt respond to anything, it turns the volume up and down but doesnt display the volume box thing or make the sound..............i would really appriciate some help guys,.....thanks:)

I am running Windows Vista 64 bit, with IDT audio drivers....etc
