Eclipse on Linux
In linux if I bring up the eclipse I dont see the eclipse icon in the eclipse title bar. Is this because of gtk limitation?
If I connect to the same linux machine from my windows machine (reflection windowing client) then I can see that icon.
In windows I can see the eclipse icon on the title bar after eclipse cames UP.
Eclipse available at:
http://www.eclipse.org/
I tried ECLIPSE CLASSIC in both windows and linux. Any idea of what happening will be great help.
Thank you,
Ganeshraj.S

Re: Eclipse on Linux
You haven't provided nearly enough information for anyone to usefully reply.
1) What Linux?
2) Which eclipse--provided by the distro or built?
3) What evironment are you trying to use it in?
I'm also of the opinion this is a cosmetic only issue (likely driven by your evironment) and not related to Eclipse.
It's not at all clear why you might be reporting this in an HP forum.

Re: Eclipse on Linux
Eclipse web site that you note has instructions for what pre-requisites are required. Older RPM based versions were clear with requirements.
Now its delivered by tar file.
I do not believe this is gtk problem.
Please specify exactly:
Distribution of Linux
Version of eclipse
What error messages appear in the window you are starting eclipse in.

This is a theme issue. Default theme wont support icons in the title bar of the linux.
This issue is resolved. Anyway thanks for your interest.
