Any body knows the compatibility between this software and the Linux 4.0 OS?

Yes,
Eclipse is fully supported from RH as part of Red Hat Developer Suite - http://www.redhat.com/software/rha/developer/

Re: Eclipse software

Well I was looking in particular for the Eclipse Office application by Schlumberger. which is a software used in simulating and modeling Oil reservoirs in oil companies. Any body have any idea?

Re: Eclipse software

Shalom Simon,

Eclipse is as noted above available for free for the OS, though not the latest version.

Eclipse is a IDE for generating code. It is quite possible to use it to write code that is NOT compatible with Linux.

Therefore your second question can only be answered by the application vendor. If this is simply an add in product to eclipse, it will probably work. If its software created with eclipse, you can not be certain.
