Educate me?

I have seen, in the past where someone said to see a past thread.
How do I find past threads on CDE and FONT SIZE modifications?
I know I can get answers to a new question, But how do I review a question that might have been posted in the past. I am tired of searching for the answer so I am going to the answer group.
TIA

Re: Educate me?

From the ITRC Forums page, I have clicked SEARCH on the left panel, typed in my question (cde font size, in your case), click the Forums check box and click search. Seemed to work OK for me.

Re: Educate me?

Usually folks will copy the address for a particular thread...

But I usually just click on the Search button on the left side of page and use this to look up whatever I need ...

Re: Educate me?

Initiate the SEARCH function and you can browse by keyword. You can select the forums, tech docs, etc...

The SEARCH button is towards the upper left side of the screen.

Re: Educate me?

Thanks Rick,
The key I was missing was the forum button.
I guess I missed the forest through the trees.
Thanks

Re: Educate me?

Normally font size configuration is done via CDE's front panel style manager.

specific applications may require Xresource files to editted accordingly : eg

/opt/perf/newconfig/app-defaults/C or for specific CDE clients /usr/dt/app-defaults/C

If using remote clients : PC's xterminals and the like you encounter problems wrt the Stylemanager often the cause is the font's are unavailable to the Xserver. Setup a font server ! A sure fire way to tell is if the font size appears unchanged using the style manager utility.
