Embedded Os using Linux kernal

To whom knows the answer,

It is said that hp has developed an embedded os using the Linux kernal. Is
there some information about it? And could give some comments about the
products by the users?

Does there 3rd party FA(Factory automation) software providers( such as Fix,
InTouch ...) release application based on the platform?

At last, how much one of licence of the embedded Linux?
