Ethereal 11.23 http://hpux.connect.org.uk

Hi,
i have downloaded depot (ethereal-0.10.11-sd-11.23.depot) but after installation without error, i not have a binary file ethereal in /usr/local/bin for to run program.
Please help me.

You run this command and verify the file locations.

# swlist -l file ethereal-0.10.11-sd-11.23

If everithing is good as you said during installation, try to find the binary file ethereal maybe it is in other directory. Try
with:
find / -name ethereal -print

this is a depot file and i not make other action after depot installation.

i have finded ethereal binary but it not are in my server.
Maybe that the tar file is corrupt.
I have uncompress depot with "tar tvf" command and the binary ethereal are not in the list.

Hi,

this depot definitely appears to be corrupt, You would have to contact the maintainers of the porting archive.

If I remember correctly, Ethereal is also contained in the HP-UX Internet Express available at software.hp.com

(You also need libpcap)
