Re: Fiber channel

Hi,

Do you use any SAN switch to conenct between the VA and the host..Or just directly connected to the host?

Have you tried armdsp /armdiscover after rebooting the server?

Hi,

Thanks for the response.

Now what is the patch level of your machine.

If possible post nickel report OR the swlist output.

also #swlist -a state -l patch

Re: Fiber channel

What is the topology set ot on the va? It looks like two boxes never completed the FC handshakes. If FC isn't working you will not get very far.

I haven't tried directly connecting the va yet. I did directly connect a tape drive to the 9000 and in that case I had to hard code the AL ID in the tape drive to something other than 1. Seems both the 9000 and the tape were trying to be ID #1.

I would check the va FC topology setting and make sure its set to AL and then set the ID to something other than 1.

The fcmsutil get remote all command will tell you what other nodes the HBA can see in the fiber. Do a man for the exact syntax.
