Ftp Append_Restart not permitted try again

Ftp Append_Restart not permitted try again

I am getting the following error when I was trying to execute append command. But it is working in one machine, both or HP-UX.
What may be the reason?

>>APPE XYZ_Test.txt

451 XYZ_Test.txt Append/Restart not permitted, try again.
EZA1735I FTP Return Code = 04451, Error Code = 00002
>>.

If any one know the solution for this please suggest me.

This is caused by different versions/options when compiled for ftpd.

Not all ftp daemons support reget command sets.
