Get number of pages printed by a hp 2550ln color laser printer

Hi! do anyone knows how to get the stats of the printer 2550ln? I need the stats that you get when yo press the start button for 5 seconds, but i want them by software, for accounting.

I have CUPS and Linux.

No way to do this that I'm aware of unless the JetDirect connected has a web server built-in. Some fairly detailed statistics available remotely through a browser on those models (e.g. LJ8000 series), if I remember correctly. Been a couple of years since I've worked somewhere I was dealing with a lot of printers directly.

I think that it should be possible, because if the windows software can know the level of the toner, some information should be retrived from the printer.

May be with the change on the levels of the toners i can make my calculations too, so if there is a way to get that information it will be OK
