The resolution of screen maximum is of 640x480. I cannot better put.

There was a rather recent patch that added the mapping of that pci id to the mga driver. Perhaps this system was originally installed with a pre-feisty version of pci id mapping which didn't configure the mga driver for that device.

You can look in /etc/X11/xorg.conf and try changing vesa to mga. You could also check in xorg.conf to make sure that the Modes lines include "1280x1024" and/or "1024x768" sizes.
