HBA Driver firmware dump

Hi,

could anybody advise - how to collect driver firmware dump (save it to file system) for further analysis?

i mean this line "Driver firmware dump timestamp" from the output below:

sasmgr has save_dump subcommand.

But given that the driver you are using is almost 4 years old and and many revisions behind, question is whether it makes any sense to spend time analyzing this.

You may consider to tell about the problem you have ... why analyze the dump?

Thanks for the subcommand, dump has been saved.

i agree, driver update can be a solution.

Single occurance of:

Jan 3 15:35:10 some_srv vmunix: SAS driver at 0/2/1/0 (/dev/sasd1) : RAID volume at SAS address 0x0b5cb60b99038153 is in a degraded state.
Jan 3 15:35:10 some_srv vmunix: SAS driver at 0/2/1/0 (/dev/sasd1) : RAID volume at SAS address 0x0b5cb60b99038153 is in a degraded state.
Jan 3 15:35:23 some_srv vmunix: SAS driver at 0/2/1/0 (/dev/sasd1) : Driver fault has occured, a firmware dump will be taken and the HBA will be reset.

Followed by one of two RAID logical drives rebuild.
