HBA card not detecting

Hi All,

I installed one FC card in one of our rx2620 derver.But the same is not detetcing in the OS side.I tried ioscan -fnCfc,bt its giving no output

OS version - HP-UX11.31
Card - Qlogic QLA2340.

And what is the output from:

What is the unknown/UNCLAIMED device at 0/5/1/0 HW path? Is here where HBA is installed?

Who has the certificate is HBA is supported by HP? I think not:

hi,

suspecting the supported driver software is missing here. Find the HBA card product number and search appropriate driver from below link.

Verfiy #swlist with product no to confirm whether already got installed.

Check the supported h/w also...

In the OS side while booting it is showing like
Configuring HP Fibre Channel FCD Mass Storage interfaces ...... OK

and in the syslog it is showing like

It seems the card is not supported. Please check with Qlogic for any HP-UX drivers.

Also check the hardware support matrix.

If the card is not in the list, then it is not supported.

For HP-UX systems, non-HP cards simply will not work. HP brands 3rd party cards but almost always changes the firmware and therefore the card's version ID. You have to use HP-branded cards in HP-UX.

Some 3rd party devices have 3rd party drivers (of course not supported by HP, but needed for such device).
I'm sure you need a 3rd party driver for this card.
