I am running HP-UX 11.11 on HP 9000 machine.I have depot file at following location
/opt/depot/mysql-3.23.42-sd-11.00.depot and I have mysql file subsystem for HP-UX 10.20(depot is supposed to run it on 11.11) installed at /opt/mysql/mysql-max where mysql-max is a link to big directory mysql-max-3.23.52-hp-hpux11.20-hppa1.1 Note that I just downoded mysql from mysql.com site then did gzip -dvf on it and then tar -xvf on it. That is how I installed mysql on /opt/mysql. CAN SOME BODY TELL ME EXACT SWINSTALL SYNTAX TO INSTALL THAT DEPOT ON MY MACHINE. I used swinstall as follows :
swinstall -v -s /opt/depot/mysql-3.23.42-sd-11.00.depot -x ask=true \*
and it does not install the depot properly, because on running mysqld & after depot installation I get the same error message that libgcc_s.sl not found. CAN SOME BODY PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO INSTALL THIS DEPOT TO MAKE MYSQL WORK ON MY MACHINE??? ALSO HOW DOES THE DEPOT KNOW WHERE IS THE MYSQL PRODUCT INSTALLED, OR IS HAVE TO INSTALL MYSQL IN A DIFFERENT WAY FOR DEPOT TO RECOGNIZE IT.
PLEASE HELP :-((
