I assume I'm ussing A6961-60011 which is a dual port scsi hba, one port is used by the disk defined as an alter boot path and the other is used with the tape array. Already I have tested several combinatios between this two ports and the only one that let me see the C7438A device is unplug the disk cable and let alone the C7438A cable.

Re: HP CE-ASSIS saids that booting from ignite tape isn't supported
By the way in the other vPar i have a similar configuration (both tape and disk connected to the same hba) and it works just fine.

Re: HP CE-ASSIS saids that booting from ignite tape isn't supported
Depending on your config you can include only one part of a combo card by configuration.
Please check (and post) your config (vparstatus -v) together with an ioscan -fn.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: HP CE-ASSIS saids that booting from ignite tape isn't supported
Forgot to said that both vPars share the same tape array: when needed turn off the tape array, unplugg it from one vPar and connect it to the other, then turn on again the tape array.
