HP PS-2 (SK-2501k) Keyboard Defined

I have a 2501K keyboard and I am trying to identify and understand how to control the "internet/multi-media" keys. In particular, I am trying to understand the LED's at the upper right. There are three: Num Lock, Caps Lock and ???? -- this third LED is a mystery to me. However, when I use this keyboard through a KVM, to a Laptop with only USB ports, this light must be on or it's as if the Control key is stuck. I accidently figured out how to turn it on and all works quite well now.

Any help (descriptions, guides, etc) would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Chuck

Give us the part number / serial number on the bottom of the keyboard...

Re: HP PS-2 (SK-2501k) Keyboard Defined

Here are the particulars:
PN: C4734-60301
SN: M980634523
Model: SK-2501k

It is the Scroll Lock indicator. It was too simple. Do you know where I could get any documentation for this keyboard. I would like to download the drivers (using standard MS 101/103 drivers currently).

Thanks for your help.

Re: HP PS-2 (SK-2501k) Keyboard Defined

The pic is very close. The cable I have is only the 6 pin DIN; I don't have the other two. There seems to be two "new" LED indicators to the left of center that I don't have either.

I am tempted to download the drivers and install them but my experience tells me to leave good-enough alone. I don't have any issues (now) so I will ponder this a bit more before I do anything else. It sounds like their could be some documenation about the keyboard in the drivers.

Thanks for all of your help.
