Re: HP Tech Forum 2009 Call for Papers

Hey Rita.

Nope, I'm not submitting anything this year. I haven't had time to work on anything recently. I guess I could recycle a previous submission. Hmmmm......

Yes, you do get the discount for filling out the survey as well.

Hope to see you there.

Re: HP Tech Forum 2009 Call for Papers

Hey Patrick,

I could try to submit something...let's see we moved our whole data center in one weekend - with just under 3 weeks to put it together. Came up 1st try.
Or maybe how to do DR on HPUX by rebuilding your current cluster to a bunch of single node clusters & using Ignite tapes at your DR site. I'm good at that.

Going to try and submit expense request this week....we'll see....

Rgrds,
Rita

Re: HP Tech Forum 2009 Call for Papers

Oh...and by the way Patrick, that web graph thing you sent me years ago. I still use that even today and everytime we get reviewed by some consultant they bring in....they are impressed by it's simple yet effective output.

I still use it to monitor for performance anamolies over past 24 hours and usually then use perfview to figure who the culprit was. We keep those as a link from our documentation webpage (another thing those performance consultants are impressed with). They are a perfect blend...

Rgrds,
Rita

Re: HP Tech Forum 2009 Call for Papers

Why thank you Miss Rita. I use those as well.

I have perf data going back 7 years on some of my servers because of those graphs.

(Flattery will get you points.......)

Re: HP Tech Forum 2009 Call for Papers

You have 1 more week to submit a session proposal to HPTF 2009.

I have just submitted a proposal. We'll see if they accept or not. I've tried 2 or 3 times previously and been rejected every time.
