HP-UX 11.23 itanium oracle install error message

Hi,

we are trying to install oracle on HP-UX machine, oracle installer giving us X11 error message.

Here is the error we are getting.

Hi Sundaram,

This is due to a BUG specific for HP-UX Itanium.

The error message that you experienced,
â Unexpected Signal : 11 occurred at PC=0xc38b2911
Function name=JNU_GetEnvâ

is due to the BUG 3993005.

Oracle support has the diagnostic analysis as â customers are receiving this error only for the HP Itanium patch.

From the BUG it appears to be caused by a problem with the JRE software on the CD

To fix this one should execute the following steps:

1. Change the JRE_LOCATION in oraparam.ini to /opt/java1.3
2. Start OUI 2.2.0.14 to install the 9.2.0.2 software

Alternatively:

1. Download OUI 2.2.0.18 (patch 2878462) or the 9.2.0.4 patchset (patch 3095277) from Metalink
2. Start OUI 2.2.0.18 to install the 9.2.0.2 software

I know this post has 7 years old...

But I m looking for 3993005 BUG.

Issue was resolved by changing JRE, but I need the ¨official document¨ to present to customer.

I have searched in HP website but it is not published. Do you know how can access it ?
