HP UX 11i v2 HD configuration with Raid 5

Hi,

We get at our disposal a server, model RX2660, fitted with 2 internal disks and one Raid 1 controller.
We plan to add 3 or more internal disks and we would like to configure all those new disks with Raid 5.
Is there any setup or dedicated HP UX procedure to do this ?
Do we have to install additional softwares, patch, ..
Can we use the Raid 1 controller or another Raid controller is required ?

Hi Rase,

If you have the standard internal RAID 1 controller (AD248A doesn't use a PCI slot) then the only RAID levels are 0 (striped) and 1 (Mirror).

If you are using a P400 RAID controller (AD397A) then you can use RAID 5. The manual here:
