HP-UX SMH

Hi,

1- message appears while trying to access the HP Proactive Analysis Client for one of the HP-UX server:

Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /pac/index.php on this server.

Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
================

tried to start teh hpsmh demoan in hp-ux box and got message:
===============
# /opt/hpsmh/bin/hpsmh start
Tomcat is shutting down
Wait a few seconds and try again
===============

2- In the second hp-ux box I can not login using the root and hpsmh user accounts?


please advice?

What version of HP-UX.

The Tomcat is shutting down message may because hpsmh was already running when you started it.

Try stop then start.

I stopped the service but it did not work.

Unless you have done a lot of customization, I would suggest removing shm and starting over again.

SMH is however highly integrated into the OS and that may not be possible.

There are log files though, you might want to look in them for the smoking gun.

I reinstalled the SMH bundle and its working now.
