HP UX remote Print to Linux Cups
Good Day,
iwill print from the HP UX to a Linux Cups Printserver.
Because the Print job from the Unix get not to the Linux.
/usr/sbin/lpadmin -pedv1 -v/dev/null -mrmodel -ormdebian -orpedv1 -ob3
Ping to Linux is OK
From the Windows-Pc is Print OK because a User must be identive (Samba) on the Linux.

Re: HP UX remote Print to Linux Cups
Kraekel,
On which port do you expect your CUPS server to accept the job?
lpr? port 515? make sure your cups lpr daemon is running. check with netstat -natp.
If you want to receive the job on lpr port you need to also send it on the lpr port using lpr (remote lpd).
Sending it on Port 9100 is obviously not an option.
CUPS will of course accept jobs on the CUPS port http://servername:631/printername or ipp:://servername:631/printername.
I have not seen a method of sending to an IPP port, though.
Point it out to me if you know of one.
