HPUX 11.00 32 Bit OE RP5470

I have an RP5470 server that I would like to install HPUX 11.00 32bit OE on. I have media HPUX 11.00 sept 2000 which only supports 64bit environment. Dose anyone know if 32bit OE is supported on RP5470 server, is there a later revision of 11.00 that will work in 32bit environment or is the hardware limited to only run 64bit.

just be glad to have a 64-bit box.
You need to install 64bit version what doesn't mean that 32bit apps won't run.

Thats a 64 bit only processor. The OS comes with 32 bit compatability libraries that let many,many 32 bit apps run.

Hi:

The rp5470 (formerly known as an L-class) does not support a 32-bit 11.0 kernel. You need to install the 64-bit version. As Torsten has noted, there is nothing to prevent you from running 32-bit applications on a 64-bit system.
