HPUX11i CDE sessionetc is not working..
Could you give me advice if you have any information.
I want to invoke script after CDE login.
and I confirmed working well the script on sessionetc file. But some workstaion was not working with the same script. the 2 workstations re mostly same environment due to swlist. the main difference is c ancsi/c developpers bundle is installed or not.
Not working EWS is not istalled the c bundle.
I tried very simple scritp for testing on both workstation. but it was fail.
for example "touch /tmp/aaaa.txt"
Does anybody know this phenomenon?
Do I need the c bundle for another one ?
my environment
C3600 HPUX11i CDE
/home is local file system.
I attched swislt for fail ews.

Re: HPUX11i CDE sessionetc is not working..
Why? I only login once a quarter. If I have to do something, I do it by hand.
What are you doing?
Here is a thread on it:

How are you invoking sessionetc? Is it executable?

That shouldn't make a difference.

Install the EWS depot. It didn't ship with C in the first place.
Its completely unrelated.

more interesting would be an error message when it fails ... check the environment settings of the user at the different ws.
Is /etc/PATH identical?

Re: HPUX11i CDE sessionetc is not working..
Thank you for your advice.
I resolved this problem as follows.
I made new user account for testing.
And i copied and tried the same sessionetc.
It worked well.
So I logout and moved .dt directory in the problem user by console mode.
Then I loged in problem user, in that case, the CDE makes new .dt directory and new files.
Then I copied the sessionetc .
It worked well.
I think some CDE files had problem in the .dt directory.
Thanks.
