How About ITRC Annual Awards

How About ITRC Annual Awards

Love ITRC

1) I have not seen any other site as ITRC
2) In my opinion/experience, Better/Quicker way to get things know/done
3) Better/Quicker than HP support. Prefer ITRC than HP Support
4) Ocean of Ideas/options/difft ways of doing thins, others experience etc..
5) Learned a Lot
6) Great job - ITRC Team
7) Great Job -- All contributors

So If its not already done, ITRC team must start ITRC Annual Awards.
Awards should be presneted to the best of ITRC users at annual HP-WORLD convention

Thanks

Hi Merijn,

The commas at the end of all the links - save the last - are causing 404s on them.

Re: How About ITRC Annual Awards

Hey...if they have another ITRC Luncheon, like they have for the past couple years, at HPWorld, you can win prizes.

Yup...last year I won myself a brand new-top of the line-always wanted one----mouse pad !

But you couldn't top the guests....some of the ITRC's BEST...!! & I even got to meet Dan !!

HEY DAN....ARE WE HAVING A LUNCHEON IN ATLANTA ???

Rita

Rita,

I'd forgotten all about the fabulous prizes! I obviously overwhelmed by the talent surrounding me in that *evening reception*.

Re: How About ITRC Annual Awards

I'm all in favor of that! Those luncheons / dinners are nice.

Although the last time I talked to Dan he indicated that the budget this year was pretty slim and that he may not even be in Atlanta. :(

Hopefully that will change.

Re: How About ITRC Annual Awards

Hmmmm,

I read Basheer's post and I was thinking of something a little different [shutup Pete!]. I had in mind some individual awards by category with nominations from the members, something like the Oscars.

Let's think about some of the categories. How about, Most Outrageous Post, or Best Poster, or Best Points Whiner in a Supporting Role? How about the Jethro Bodine Clampett Double-Naught Spy Award for the most devious attempt to get points? I have a nomination for that one. :)

Re: How About ITRC Annual Awards

Hmmm.... I hadn't commented on the awards yet, but based on John Poff's post, I like the idea.

It would possibly attract more folks the ITRC get-togethers. This would assume though that the folks getting the awards would be at HP World. Somehow I can't see HP springing for trips for folks.

Hi JP,

I'll bet the farm one of those would be mine in a run-away.....BUT I shudder just thinking about *which* one.
Man I love this place.....

Re: How About ITRC Annual Awards

Hi All,

Just to continue on the Jethro-award theme...

My fav Beverly Hillbillies scene was when Jethro did his guzintus. Any body care to take a crack at just *what* those were?

Jeff

Re: How About ITRC Annual Awards

Jeff,

I love those scenes! "Two gazentas eight four times." There is one of the old black-and-white episodes where Jed and Jethro are going to the bank. They get out of the truck and Jethro starts telling Jed about how he 'graditated' from the sixth grade and knows his gazentas forwards and backwards. He then spends about thirty seconds doing gazentas and 'carrying the one' doing math out loud. If I EVER get that one on tape, it will go into a .wav file and I'll play it every time I start Windoze on my laptop!

Re: How About ITRC Annual Awards

BINGO - WE HAVE A WINNER!!!!

JP nailed it - For the Clampetts guzintus were what we all know as multiplication tables. It's a CLASSIC American TV moment. I still LMAO every time I see it.
JP - your check is in the mail.....and if you believe that I have some prime bottom land I think you'd be intrested in.

Cheers, my Friend,

Re: How About ITRC Annual Awards

How about a limerick ....

The was a man from Horsham, who took out his b***s to wash 'em.

His mother said Jack, if you don't put 'em back, I'll step on the bastards and squash 'em.

Cheers
