How read file permission / Ownership in NT
I need a common perl script that will display Ownership and permission of a file both in Linux & NT.
Timely help will be appreciated

Shalom Ashok,
The perl or shell script will use an ls command in either case.
What is displayed or captured depends a bit on how the mount was done. e.g. samba or nfs.
Also importtant is which OS the perl script will be running on. Linux, NT or both.
