How read file permission / Ownership in NT

I need a common perl script that will display Ownership and permission of a file both in Linux & NT.

Timely help will be appreciated

Shalom Ashok,

The perl or shell script will use an ls command in either case.

What is displayed or captured depends a bit on how the mount was done. e.g. samba or nfs.

Also importtant is which OS the perl script will be running on. Linux, NT or both.
