Simpler Navigation for Servers and Operating Systems
Completed: a much simpler Servers and Operating Systems section of the Community. We combined many of the older boards, so you won't have to click through so many levels to get at the information you need. Check the consolidated boards here as many sub-forums are now single boards.

Re: How to adjust MAXOPENCURSORS?

According to www.google.com, MAXOPENCURSORS is used in Oracle.

According to http://mail.gnu.org/pipermail/help-make/2000-October/000066.html, shows how you can change the value in the makefile options.

If you are not using Oracle, more details will enable us to provide more accurate suggestions.

Re: How to adjust MAXOPENCURSORS?

Hi there.
Edit your init.ora / init${ORACLE_SID}.ora.
Find the line open_cursors and copy it.
Set the old value to remark and adjust the active line to the value you want.
