How to configure the data gatherer in Oracle 8.1.6 and HP/UX 11.00

Hello,

We are configuring the data gatherer in Oracle 8.1.6 in a 11.00 box and we are in trouble.

We have problems with the socket 1808, the error that Oracle report is 5022 "the accept failed on socket".

One thing to check:
-ensure that no other process is using this socket and retry the operation:
netstat -a|grep 1808
