How to find the memory problem in HP-UX or any H/W or S/W problem in HP-UX
I am very new to HP-UX and can any help me to find the way to find the system health check like H/W or S/w problem.
Like in solaris we have /var/adm/messages file ,like in HP US do we have some file like that..

/var/adm/syslog/syslog.log (it's like /var/adm/messages)
/var/opt/resmon/log/event.log maybe useful
and stm tool

Your question is quite broad. THe STM and EMS tools will monitor hardware and software. Perhaps you want to read some of the information here:

In the case of a system reboot, you can look at the file /etc/shutdownlog.

As well as what my peers have suggested, the 'page deallocation table', (PDT,) will contain detailed information on memory configuration, as well as any errors, (single or multi bit errors.) This can be viewed and monitored using STM, or CSTM.
