How to install Oracle Database 10G on HP-UX 11.23

Can anybody provide me with a step by step easy and simple study guide for Oracle 10G DB installation on HP-UX 11.23 ?

Can I install Oracle DB 10G on HP UNIX without first installing HP C/Ansy and C++ compilers ?

I suggest you to go to
http://metalink.oracle.com
to have the pre checklist installation and all the supported documentation step by step by oracle.
Of course, you will had to apply all the require patch, made some kernel tuning etc.

The Oracle documentation is actually quite good. The installation guide provides very good instructions on how to install Oracle.

You should have a Documentation CD/DVD. Have a look on that for the Install Guide.

You don't need the ANSI C / C++ Compiler in order to install Oracle database - it might list some patches during the install which depend on the compilers, but if you don't have the compilers you don't need the patches.

The Compilers are *only* needed if you intend to do development work using Oracle ProC or ProC++

It has very nice step by step instructions to install oracle
