How to mount USB Drive (pen drive @ thumb drive) on HP-UX

hello guys,

need some help, i quite new with HPUX, i still dont know how to mount the USB Drive (pen drive) on this environment. i need to copy some files to the mechine. can somebody help me?

Shalom,

Accept that you may not be able to. Your thread is misplaced, in the Linux section.

As an HP-UX admin, here is what I would try.

plug the thing in
ioscan -fnC disk
# see if there is a disk device associated with the thing.
# If a new device is present, it can be mounted with a mount command. HP-UX doesn't ship with a vfs or fat filesystem built in, which leads to the roadblock.

Do you perhaps have a Linux box on your network you can stick the device into?

can somebody tell me which (working) USB devices are available for HPUX? seems they don't get much use...

Hi,

In fact, USB on HP-UX stations is only for keyboard/mouse use.
No drivers included for printers/UMS drive (usb key or disk) ...
