I have serious problem with my sound.

I have this exact problem:

http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?admit=716493758+1102528691417+28353475&threadId=185958

The thing is I can do what "Joel" did cause it seems that the links from that era are useless now.

So I need to update my BIOS and download some drivers but I just can't find any that matchs the exact model of the mother board=
Asus A7V-VM.

Please I need assistance.

Thanks

http://www.opendrivers.com/freedownload/217907/Crystal-CS4299-Sound-Driver-Windows.html

has a driver that works for your sound for 98/me/2K

For XP try:

(registration is free)

Your motherboard

uses the Via KM133A chipset so you may want to install their chipset software first.

The Pavilion 520C claims to have the same motherboard and uses this BIOS:
