I'm looking of a TIFF-convertor (on HP-UX)

I'm at the moment looking for a product that can convert ASCII or RTF to TIFF.

Any sugestions ?
No problem if it is a comercial product... Please let me know.

try checking out:
http://hpux.connect.org.uk/

they have a lot of stuff there, doing a search on tiff produced quite a few results.

Have a look on
http://hpux.cs.utah.edu/

If you don't find it there you may have trouble (or have to pay)

Later,
Bill
It works for me (tm)

Re: I'm looking of a TIFF-convertor (on HP-UX)

To convert 'tiff' files here, we went with Ghostscript. Sometimes there is not a direct converter, but generally there is a two step method. There are other file converter softwares out there, but if you go to the software porting site http://hpux.cs.utah.edu/
Ghostscript is a good price..free..

Hi

Put this in google

convert rtf tiff hp-ux

get things like

Framemaker

or
http://www.re-soft.com/product/convert2.htm
or

http://www-1.ibm.com/services/kcm/cm_soln_tdms.html

Choice enough if you can pay

Do a web search for netpbm. It is a free UNIX based converter from whatever to whatever.

I use it to convert tiffs, etc.

Re: I'm looking of a TIFF-convertor (on HP-UX)

I have looked at the (free) archives Melvyn and Bill pointed me to, and I have downloaded and installed GHOSTSCRIPT and A2X (Ascii to Postscript) and this combination allows me to convert from ASCII to POSTSCRIPT and in a second step from POSTSCRIPT to TIFF.
Thanks Rita but you hitted the 'magic' button.

Thanks,
