Re: ITRC Statistics for March 2009

can we have some stats that show how many people don't award points to questions they've raised? or haven't bothered to identify steps they took to correct a problem. Now that would be interesting.

Re: ITRC Statistics for March 2009

You might want to do some minimal research before you ask.

From Merijn's comments:

http://mirrors.develooper.com/hpux/stats.html takes an attempt in explaining all the numbers. I hope to have explained the FAQ's there.

If you looked there you might find that this is already answered for you:

00 .. 09 % 2460

Re: ITRC Statistics for March 2009

Shalom (-5 points desired),

Post splitting as Pete pointed out.

I usually don't notice what other do other than to check that prior answers in the thread cover my answer so I can decide whether to add value or pass on the thread.

Post splitting for the accumulation of points is inappropriate and I started noticing it and pointing it out when I saw it.

This is a community. You get to the top by hard work and persistence, not gimmicks.

I've noticed that when I (occasionally) go back and add a second post with thoughts that erupted from my pea brain molecules after I posted a response. Often the thread owner will instead of awarding 10 points per post split the points among the two posts, or leave the second response unpointed.

I encourage this and on my future questions will make sure post splitting provides no benefit to the person doing it.

Good Point Pete.

Keep on keeping people honest.

Maybe - if you'd disagreed, that is.
