Hi,

If you have already created a bootable tape using make_tape_recovery then it is easy to restore hp box.

Time depends on the data you backed up on tape.

Note: you can directly boot system using tape in hp 9000 machines but tape booting is not available in Itanium so work around is to boot the system using hp media and then choose tape to recover.

Does the tape include all of the volume groups?

If it only includes vg00, you will need to manually create the other volume groups and restore the apps/data on to them.
