hi,

Does anyone know if HP provides something like Web API which allow accessing online the patch ( on ITRC) and parts ( on partsurfer ) databases information?

An API? Are you sure you mean an API? (as ion a library of function calls that can be made from a programming language like C or Perl or Ruby?

The answer to that is a definite NO.

For patches at least, you can do patch analysis from the UNIX command line using swa:

I think what I am looking for is a way to query/search the information from these sites using a tool/utility ( home grown though ) instead of interactive usage.

Is it possible in some other way?

You'd better get cracking to learn PERL programming as you need to be using it extensively to develop such a tool. In the past, one of colleagues at a different job, has created a monstrous set of PERL scripts just to do what you want. But remember, you are the mercy of HP. They change the format of web page and you are screwed.
