Informix DB version

Hi,

What is the command to check the Informix DB version in IDS2000 ver. 9.x and 7.x?

As long as the instance is up and you have your env set correctly

$ onstat -
Informix Dynamic Server 2000 Version 9.21.FC5X9 -- On-Line -- Up 2 days 11:42:09 -- 3746104 Kbytes

Hi,

#onstat -
this will display the version of your INFORMIX DB.

#onstat -a
this will display all info related to your INFORMIX DB.

Hi,

If you already have a database instance running
$onstat command returns you with options,using any one of theose option you can find the installed informix version, i am not sure about that option.

#onstat -V (Caps V)
or
#oncheck -V
It should work while database is down.
I can not shutdown my databse to test it now :))
