Re: Infra Dashboard for Management
I've never heard of Infra Dashboard.
If you are looking for a multi-platform, multi-OS, disk storage and backup tape management tool, there are many to choose from. HP has several OpenView data center managemnt tools. Very few are based on HP-UX and several tools don't even support HP-UX.
For a tool that reports on CPU, RAM, DISK, and networking, plan to spend a lot (thousands of dollars) and a lot of time (weeks) deploying the agents, settig up the dashboard layout and reports and explaining how to make it work to management. And for freeware versions, plan on a *LOT* more time deploying, setup and then explaining to management what they can and can't do with the tools. Virtualized systems add even more complexity to the result.
And in the end, sysadmins are still asked the question: what's wrong with the server/storage/performance, etc.
