Install problem with OpenSUSE 10.3 on Proliant 6400R

I'm trying to install OpenSUAE 10.3 on an old Proliant 6400R and it "breaks down" almost at the end, with a "problem" writing the initrd file. This in turn then makes it impossible for the server to boot afterwards.
It says something cryphtic about not being able to find "ida!c0d0p something".
The server has a Compaq Smart 3200 SCSI controller.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

That controller uses the cpqarray driver, which puts the disks at /dev/ida/c0d0. Seeing ida!c0d0p would suggest the correct driver is loaded. Can't tell you why there is trouble writing out the initrd file.

This might help

Hi Jimmy...

Thanx for your input.
I agree that the "ida" location is the right one - apart from what I think might be an error in some "install" script. The "!" after ida should probably be a "/".
Mayby I should direct a question towards the OpenSUSE guys, who made the install script.
