Installing HP 1/8 Autoloader on RHE 3.0
Hi,
I'm not able to install the autoloader 1/8 under linux.
It is not visible in cat proc/scsi/scsi
Is there any additional driver or changes that needs to be done.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Installing HP 1/8 Autoloader on RHE 3.0
The tape should show up as /dev/st0. However, the library should show in /proc/scsi/scsi.
Question, What type of interface are you using to attach the unit? The tape library cannot be connected to the internal Smart Array card. The internal card does not recognize the library as it does not allow SCSI LUN's.
You need a card that supports SCSI LUN's

I'm using U320 LSI card to connect the autoloader.

Re: Installing HP 1/8 Autoloader on RHE 3.0
If your U320 is tha A7173, then you'll want to get the latest firmware for it. Also, you'll want to upgrade your rhel3 install to the latest rev (rhel3u7) for the autoloader to work at its best.
