Re: Installing LVM support in RedHat Linux 7.1

I was just getting ready to do a similar thing. The word is that it's "fully integrated" under the 2.4 kernel, but it's probably anyone's guess what the term means. From a little research I was able to find a website with all sorts of info, although some of it appears to be out of date (see http://sistina.com/lvm/ ). Not a real direct answer to your problem, but there are probably very few RH 7.1 owners/users yet.

I've download the LVM 0.9.1-Beta7 from this web site, and follow the installing instructions, but I think I will need to work some time to get it work. I let you know by this way what I get.

I already read that HowTo...
Have you try it?

Re: Installing LVM support in RedHat Linux 7.1

The bits in the 2.4.3 kernel are a lot older than the user-level LVM stuff you probably DL'd.

I followed the instructions for beta6 and they works wonderfully.
